Job Summary:
This Designer- Kids will be responsible for working with creation and delivery of the Scotch & Scotch products that support strategic initiatives. This position will use exceptional design skills, knowledge of the current market and identifying trends to create innovative and commercially viable products from conception to production. This designer will be reporting to the VP design with the direction to other stakeholders navigating the design place. This designer may be approach to work on other design projects relate to kids and other departments. The designer will be required to have knowledge in Adobe creative suite, Monday.com. PLM, and building out mood board/presentation.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
The physical demands and working conditions of this position are representative of what must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee may be occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Job Summary:

- Develop innovative and trend-forward designs for girls’ dresses, ensuring a balance between creativity and commercial appeal.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of emerging trends, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Create technical sketches and design presentations for internal reviews and production teams.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments that enhance the design and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with patternmakers, sample makers, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Provide constructive feedback during fittings to refine fit, proportion, and overall garment quality.
- Work closely with merchandising and buying teams to ensure designs meet market demands and seasonal objectives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining design integrity.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or related area and 5-7 years of experience in Design, including but not limited to experience with kids wear, boys and girls
- Knowledge of fashion trends and general trends in color, fabric and style.
- Creativity and artistic abilities, an eye for color, texture and pattern with keen attention to detail and ability to visualize in three dimensions.
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal skills as required for effective interpersonal communication.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workload seamlessly and follow-up.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team under critical time frames.
- Self driven and experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company/department

Hourly Range: $40.00- $60.00 per hour
