Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, bookkeeping, and assisting with month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be eager to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
• Perform data entry tasks for accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor company expenses.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Help prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documentation.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audit documentation.
• Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress).
• 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships included)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of general accounting standards (GAAP) is advantageous.
