The DC Area Manager leads an hourly team and influences the distribution team to do the fast-paced work required to run the distribution center as efficiently, safely, and productively as possible. This role will handle management responsibilities for the associates under his/her supervision. This role is responsible for ensuring prompt, efficient and accurate handling of merchandise as well as developing and implementing team goals.

Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):

· Manages and maintains department daily operations by monitoring and ensuring department performance standards are met accordingly.

· Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.

· Ensures department KPI’s and productivity levels are maintained or exceed while maintaining quality and accuracy.

· Partners internally with peers and leadership to meet building productivity, safety and quality goals and works externally to fulfill customer needs.

· Ensures that job duties and responsibilities of associates are safely completed in a consistent, accurate, and productive manner.

· Maintain high level of floor presence to direct the flow of work and make the necessary movement of the team.

· Use discretion and independent judgment while maintaining the integrity of our Mission, Vision and Values statement in making all business decisions.

· Ensure all safety programs and requirements are met, holding the organization to the highest standards of safety and compliance.

· Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.

· Responsible for providing on-the-job training to new employees, as well as ongoing coaching and support to current employees. May also be responsible for identifying training needs and working within management to develop training programs to address those needs.

· Must have a deep understanding of the processes and systems they are managing and become as subject matter expert in their Area/Department

Qualifications/Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field and/or 3+ years of 3PL, warehouse experience, apparel/accessories experience is a plus.

· Experienced in warehouse Value Added Services and Special Services. In addition to picking/replenishment process experience.

· Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a management role.

· Strong organizational and administrative skills.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel.

· Proven ability to lead a team, provide direction and proactively solve problems and issues as they arise.

· Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment.

· Ability to identify and communicate process improvements.

· Exceptional leadership expertise and demonstrated track record of creating employee engagement, hiring, retaining, developing staff, and resolving interpersonal conflicts and nurturing teamwork among the teams.

· Ability to build strong internal and external business and customer relationships.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Future weekends shift
  • Saturday through Monday
